The winner of a portraiture package I donated to the Roxbury Weston Preschool’s annual auction last spring redeemed their time with me last week and we had a really great time taking photographs of the four children in that family.  The number of children has doubled in size since the last time I photographed for them, so it was wonderful to meet the (not so) new members of the family!  Fantastic kids, I was so impressed, start to finish – another shoot I truly enjoyed!

I had a fantastic opportunity to work with a great new client who wanted to document the beauty his wife had created outside their house in their gardens as a surprise for her!  As you can probably already tell – he is an all around great guy – great client and thoughtful husband.  It has been a long time since I have had such an enjoyable shoot!  We produced a coffee table style book that he will give to his wife under the pretense that it is “just some garden” to see how long it will take her to recognize her own landscaping artistry!

Last weekend, I had the unique and highly meaningful opportunity to volunteer for a camp that works with children who have lost a parent or loved one. The strength and emotional stamina of these children was impressive beyond words. The energy put out and the friendships offered by the all-volunteer staff was also a beautiful thing. Watching these kids smile, bond and have fun with peers who understood their hardship was something I will not soon forget.

I had a lovely opportunity to photograph a garden for a local client who will be surprising his wife with a photo book of the beautiful landscape she has created outside their house this summer!  A perfect day, a lovely site, I quite enjoyed this assignment and can truly appreciate all the time and care that has gone into creating this peaceful outdoor space!

I had a meaningful opportunity to photograph last week for the Anti Defamation League during their Interfaith Youth Leadership Training event at Babson College. The participants, the program and the leadership I observed were profound. I was moved by what I saw – I left after seven hours, with an elevated sense of hope in the upcoming generation.
